Intraosseous infusion (IO) is the procedure of injecting directly into the marrow of a bone, used to admission drugs and fluids straight into the vascular system when intravenous access is not available or not feasible.
The design process started with an ergonomic study of the caregiver body posture drilled down to the handgrip at the device. The following step was to test several designs by quick 3d printing of optional configuration. Later more advanced configuration prototyped and tested in vivo and now on the regulatory path for approval.
